This space went through a complete transformation of not only the kitchen, but the overall feel of the home. The kitchen started off in a small corner of the home, and by absorbing the adjacent dining room and office, the kitchen became the main focal point. The large 10' island is visible from the front entry, achieving a grand welcoming. Stunning finishes combine to create a cool neutral color pallet. White cabinets reaching the extra tall ceilings contrast the rich grey stained island. Fun features such as the tile floor inlay in the dining room and mudroom adds a playful energy to the space.
While the home's square footage remained unchanged, restructuring the layout and eliminating a wall facilitated more efficient space utilization and the creation of inviting open areas. Combining classic features with distinctive accents results in a timeless, transitional ambiance.
